Cocoon is the mini-series of the Larva series, and both parts are 18th-19th episodes on Season 1. However, the S2 variation is the 47th episode on Season 2.
Plot[]
The Episode starts on a very sentimental day, which a leaf falls down to the grate, right next near Red; who is having a VERY emotional day for unknown reasons. Red lays down, as he’s about to cry. Yellow came here playing with a leaf, blowing it. But he accidentally squashes Red. Yellow thinks that he is about to beat him up, so he immediately runs away from him.
During the second shot, Yellow is seen sleeping while Red gives him a sausage, before his life could change. So what Red did is to transform himself into a cocoon. As he commends to close his eyes. As Yellow's still sleeping, he woke up and spotted a sausage.
Yellow then immediately put the sausage in his mouth, make sure no one is here, and ate it successfully. He gets out from his bed, and walks away, just until he bumps into Red's cocoon (which he immediately transforms himself into that off-screen). Yellow, Accidentally mistaken Red's Cocoon as the punching bag. Think this is fun and starts beating up Red's cocoon while an unknown brawling song plays off-screen.
He beats up Red's Cocoon so violently as he kicks the cocoon way to high, it yanked Yellow away. But the cocoon is starting to open, Yellow awkwardly watches this. The cocoon opens so bright that it popped out a deformed-butterfly Red. So Yellow DID accidentally mistaken Red's cocoon as the punching bag.
Red gets up, does a pose to Yellow and the wind blows his butterfly stuff in him, just because Yellow mistakenly did this. As he thuds to the ground as Yellow looked at him.
Part 2[]
In the sentimental day again, Red was having nightmares about the previous pass where Yellow beat up his cocoon, causing him to get turned into a deformed butterfly, a weird creature roars rapidly off-screen and Yellow's scream we’re heard off-screen whenever Red immediately woke up.
Red then sighs about this mess and decided to walk, until he spots an anonymous' cocoon, which a yellow antenna popped out of the bottom. Red think this is "Yellow's Cocoon" and he wanted revenge on him of just what he did to him. So instead, wears the red thingy on his head, uses the anonymous' cocoon as a punching bag and beats the cocoon up until it’s completely destroyed.
But Yellow passes by, in front of Red, because he was at the bathroom with a newspaper piece on his bottom, so he farted it away. Red accidentally mistaken this was "Yellow's Cocoon", but the cocoon doesn’t belong to Yellow. That's until the anonymous cocoon opens itself, revealing a Buff Male Horned-Atlas Beetle named Black! Much to Red's horror, Black grabs his hair stains as he is angered by him because he beat up his cocoon. Red gives Black the puppy eyes for some reason, but the former kicks him away.
The Atlas Beetle then used the red caterpillar as the punching bag as he beats him up. Yellow immediately runs towards them with a yellow lollipop, trying to defend him from punching Red, but turns out Yellow gives the lollipop to Black as he scrams away. Black gets powered up much to Red's horror, and then continues to beat him up, as the episode ends.
Season 2[]
On a sentimental day, Red and Yellow build their cocoons under the bed on a room. They felt sad about being caterpillars and decide to become butterflies. They climbed into their cocoons and stayed inside them all winter, but emerged from them too early in the process. So instead of becoming butterflies they became something else. ( Seen in the past episodes.) first, they turn into babies as yellow sucks the sucker. red stomps on his bottle lid as yellow bawls so he cheer him up and got back to their cocoons, next they turn elders as red broke his back, yellow helps him get back up but suddenly broke his back like red did. They turn back to normal but bumps into each other that they aren’t butterflies yet. The fourth time that they turned into blue versions of themselves making them confused as Yellow speaks in larvata language. The next one was the Lar-vengers transformations of themselves. Steel red blasts at Yellow which turns into hulk and starts beating him up violently as he throws steel red back into his cocoon. The turn into mermaids as they can’t breathe. Next that they turned into spiderman forms as Yellow accidentally shots webs at Red. They got transformed into black hair sufferings people, then being their crazy attics. And they become angels. The last one was they grew limbs as they bawls hysterically. The last try that they climbed back into their cocoons each time. Finally in the spring, after a long time doing those moments, Red and Yellow emerge from their cocoons and become “butterflies”. They fly into the air but realized their wings look like ears instead of butterfly wings. They fall to the ground before the episode ends, because they stop flapping their wings.
Epilogue[]
Cocoon 1 (Season 1)[]
As Red lays after he came out of the cocoon, deformed incident, Yellow tries to make it up again by putting Red's thorn out wings back at him. But as the wind blows, the wings came off. Sadden by this, Red kicked Yellow very violently at his face.
Cocoon 2 (Season 1)[]
Red is still tied to a can in pain after getting beaten up by Black for beating up his cocoon, Yellow came and tries to freed him, only for Red to be slammed against the can lid repeatedly.
Cocoon (Season 2)[]
Brown and Black are examining two empty cocoons (presumably it was Yellow and Red's former cocoons), They decided get in there, after several seasons, they transformed into "butterflies". but not really, it was two other butterflies that carry their backs. then afterwards leaving them, as they fall.
Trivia[]
- In the season 2 version of this, this is the only season 2 episode to use season 1 soundtrack. During the scenes when Red and Yellow have the same hair from Hair-Growth Solution, the music from Cointoss and Vampire can be heard. Also, when Red and Yellow have the weird faces from Strange Berries (formerly mushrooms), a music that is most common of season 1 episodes can be heard. When Yellow and Red appears as the trasparent, the 3rd music can be heard.
- In part 1, the song eye of the tiger is heard when yellow beats up red’s cocoon, but in the recent version of that episode it was changed to a similar song they re-composed, due to copyright reasons. [clip.]
- This is the second mini-series episode.
- This is the first time that the larva/caterpillar characters changing into cocoons to become butterflies.
- Yellow, Red and Pink had no insect legs when they became butterflies in any of the episodes (expect version 1 of this episode). They did not abandon the characters becoming butterflies, but they have abandoned them having legs when they became butterflies.
- In real life, atlas beetle larvae don't change into cocoons to become adult beetles. only caterpillars can do so.
- (Cocoon 2), This marks the debut of Black and his first appearance in this series, who increasingly abuses Red for punching his cocoon.
- (Cocoon 1’s epilogue) This is the first epilogue that has "To be continued" on it.
- A screenshot token from part 2 in the dufact larva 2011 website, the skybox is day light instead of the sunset, the skybox is different than the other episodes.
