Before Ice Cream first aired in 2011, there was a Larva pilot released in 2009 or 2010 where Violet had lines, just like Red and Yellow did. Yellow had two antennas and an extra sprite.

Production for the show started around 2008 before first airing the first episode in 2011.

Differences

1. In the first animatic, Yellow had an extra sprite and within two antennas. In the concept art, he is a bit plump and lacked out the antenna.
2. for Red in the concept art, he had extra hair stains rather than being threes, and has lighter cheeks.
3. and for Violet in the concept art, he had hair stains expect for two antennas, and he has sprites (but he has spots under his back in The final design) like Red and Yellow did.
