Larva In China Or 爆笑虫子在中国 (Hilarious Bugs In China), Is A Chinese Exclusive Series Of 26 Episodes. A second season had been released in 2023, featuring some older characters that didn’t appear in the first season. This season also has many unique characters, most just background characters that appeared in one or two episodes like a realistic-looking bird, a clam and a crab, a plant bulb, aliens, a human grandma, and etc, but also the cockroach brothers that appeared in the late episodes of season 2. As of that, a third season was released on April 2, 2025, which also includes new characters, like the orange cat. Even, as of June 26th, 2025, another season came, and it was revealed that "Larva Bug Party Chapter" will be launched soon.

This series is like an AU of the main Larva series that is in China, for now, the characters, then events of Larva Island haven't happened yet, then the characters seen are of season 3, but with additional specific characters of this series. Here, Red and Yellow keeps on discovering human objects and other stuff and foods, but sometimes their personality can seem out of what they are in the canon series.

The 3rd season makes the animation style and the effects more appealing and smoother than the past seasons, with some most soundtracks being reused on Season 1 to Season 3 (just like Larva in Mars), including some soundtracks from Larva Island.
This series makes a return Prussian and Maroon, but excluding Prism until Season 3.
Grey's fur texture in Season 3/4 was still intact than how it was on Larva Family.
In this series, Pink is loyal to Yellow, not like that some episode we all know too well.
Some characters that never interacted with each other in the canon universe actually did here, like Violet with Grey, Bee wasn't dead since she wasn't killed by Tom (does he even exist there? This man is literally everywhere in the main series, good thing for our heroes if he isn't).
Green was seen smiling once when seeing a frog toy he mistook for a female/friend frog, he never smiled in the main series, and is usually always angry, evil or with a neutral expression.
The predators aren't always seen as wanting to eat the Larva and other bugs, in a harsh winter, Grey once found in a tree some delicious meal Red, Yellow and Brown were eating, but he didn't eat them, just ate the meal, he seemed so happy.
The cockroach brothers could be recurring characters for an eventual new season, or who know, maybe in the main series.
