Life of a Rat

Life of a Rat is the 58th episode of Larva in New York (Season 3).

Plot[]

Another day on the New York alley where grey sniffs around scavenging for food, then he founds yellow and red nearby eating a banana as he stealthyly make his way to them and pounces, but missed. But he managed to catch red and was about to eat him, before yellow stabbed his butt. Surprised in pain, grey immediately tries to claw yellow but he evades as grey slipped on the banana peel twice as the both makes their escape.

As grey finally stands up, brown was passing by. He gladly takes him and was about to eat him, but then as brown struggles his body was covered in dung. Grossed out, grey threw him away and still in hunger. He tries to catch ivory, but got saved by the wind. Tries to eat black as he bit his armour too hard that it broke his own teeth. Tries to catch rainbow, but once he's out from his shell, he goes away in speed of light. Tries to catch yellow and red again but knocked himself on the wooden fence, tries to catch blue but he flies up as mocking him.

At the end of the day, he's fully starved that he's only had bones in his skin. He can’t do much but drink a drop of water before back crying. From far, yellow, red, black and brown all enjoying their food (dung for brown). With his very last stamina he tries waddle to them, but of course the bugs immediately flees from the sight of him. Finally, grey fell to the can punching it in desperation before he realized they left a very tiny piece of cheese, as he was so happy about to eat it until someone interrupted him. Turns out that it was green along the silver twins, they're equally starved to bones to like him, as they whimper together. At the end, they sat on top of the rooftop, sharing each bite of that cheese before crying together under the moonlight.

Epilogue[]

The starved Grey walked home, until he greeted by his wife and two kids, as the family hugged together.

Injuries[]

Grey got his butt stabbed, slipped himself twice, broke his teeth, knocked himself to wooden fence.
Brown gets thrown away.

Trivia[]

This is the only episode with Grey's unknown family on the epilogue.
- However, grey had unknown Family from the epilogue… so this couldn’t be excused.
  - As of that, His unknown family either really exist in canonical or it is just another scrapped filler.
This is the very first time from the predators’ point of view, all this time they do this in option to survive.
When they hugged, it is actually uh reaching to hug yah before grey decided to pull it in and uh not leaving green awkwardly out of it. this also points out technically the only one care out 4 of them, the glue of the team itself is grey, the twins only care about themselves, along how green is. they only teamed up together to take revenge on yellow and red, once they got what they wanted (green built his own family, with yah having his own girlfriend plus a more safer and enough food resource place) they seems disbanded throwing the revenge plan, but not grey yet.
The endings with the screen turns into sepia as if its an old memory, which can make a big impact since how Larva Family (Season 5) of them isn't as close as they used to be, the korean wiki also pointed out the term of lonely tears.
Interesting how did the silver twins condition also affect their fruit peelings that got rotten (either they are really is a bio-cyborg, so the peels somehow connected with their health status).
Blue can’t just use his stinky breath since he did before, because if dirty, brown is enough to disgust grey, so does his deathly breath will.
How did a crowded place like new york run out of food trash? dont at least 4 of them scavenge near restaurant or market, or like anywhere else beside the current alley only area. or the quickest way is to break in the apartements. sure lets say the competition plus their own natural predators too, but like cmon.
Just you know too, the silver twins’ banana peel and watermelon hat are edibles. why aren't they ate it and cover their head with something else. the cans, why they don't bother to open it, we are pretty sure theres food in it even if it lets say spoiled. also speaking of edibles, the plants in the park every single of it is edible including the flowers so how on earth are they still starving (from being picky eaters that is). surprisingly they never thought on hunting on each other the least with the starvation state.
Brown did not learn how to just clean himself with water.
Even though that Grey's teeth got shattered, it grew back in later episode, also if black’s armour shell is that hard, how come he can eat him in the episode flashlight? maybe he learned after seeing rainbow ran out from his shell and think he can just peel the armour off him and turns him like in season 2, in the episode black's back!.
How on earth those 4 can goes on top a very tall building, with close to no stamina left. We are pretty sure they're still heavy to be blown by wind like ivory is. more important question how on earth they didn't fell from sitting on literal edge of the roof, one push and its over. for green and some frogs can stick on stuff because of their slimy sticky skin.
Grey had been sniffing since the episode hiccup, there's a scribbles of "snort snort" in the concept episode of it, which we can hear in this episode too.
This habit of stabbing someone in the butt is very concerning and might explain what happen to him in hiccup then in oil.
This is the very reason, that the lore behind the entire larva rangers arc. if they never teamed up, never wanted a revenge from the larva rangers won’t ever happen either.
