Plot[]
Part 1: In an alley, Yellow is playing with a rubber ball and a robot arm while Red is taking a nap,.Red feels annoyed and begins to hit Yellow to be point he slaps him. Upset and hurt, Yellow runs away sobbing. Tripping over the ball and sobbing harder, Yellow is then hugged by a teddy bear, which Yellow happily accepts as his new friend. Over the next few days, Yellow and his teddy bear begin having all the fun together, as Red watches and becomes even more annoyed and jealous. So one day, Red plays a prank on the teddy bear by doodling all over him, much to Yellow's ire. The next day, while Yellow and his teddy bear are walking, Red asks him if he could play with him instead of the teddy bear, but Yellow refuses. Just then, Red engages Yellow in tug of war with the teddy bear, causing Red to accidentally rip its leg off. The teddy bear's leg flies through the air and lands in a sewer drain, much to Yellow's despair.
Part 2: Heartbroken, Yellow cries in despair, and gives Red a death stare face, scaring him away. Over the next days, Yellow continues playing with his teddy bear more than usual, and is now more than resentful of Red, who at one point offers Yellow a sausage as an apology gift, but Yellow rejects it, so Red eats it himself, soberly. One night, while going to bed, Red sees Yellow and his teddy bear stargazing until they fall asleep, becoming even more depressed and lonely. He then sees flashbacks from when Yellow was playing with the rubber ball and the robot arm, which is when Red refused to play with Yellow. Realizing how much he hurt Yellow's feelings by being a cruel and abusive friend, Red decides that if wants to win Yellow's friendship again, he must make amends for his mistakes.
Part 3: Red gets a rope, and ties one end to a bottle and the other end to himself and climbs down into the sewer drain to claim the teddy bear's leg. But the rope breaks causing Red to fall down to the bottom of the sewer and is knocked out cold. The next morning, he regains consciousness and finds the teddy bear's leg, but realizes he is at the bottom of the sewer, and has no way out. Meanwhile, Yellow notices that Red is missing, but does not bother to search for him. He and his teddy bear continue to play over the next few days, but soon Yellow starts missing Red and wishes he was never mean to him. Meanwhile, Red struggles to survive in the sewer. The sewer is flooded on rainy days and Red suffers from hunger and thirst. One night, he watches the stars and moon and tearfully imagines the Moon was Yellow as he faints.
Part 4: While sleeping with his teddy bear, Yellow hears Red humming the same song Yellow was humming before, and follows it to the sewer drain where he sees Red at the bottom of the sewer, weak and tired. Yellow realizes that Red does need his help this time, or he will die from hunger and thirst. He searches for some rope or string to use to climb into the sewer drain, but only finds the broken rope Red used. So, he tearfully decides to sacrifice his teddy bear to save Red. Yellow rips his teddy bear apart and ties the pieces together to make a rope, which he uses to climb to the bottom of the sewer. He carries Red in the back, and puts fabric on him to keep him warm. Yellow then sees the teddy bear's leg and realizes that Red was getting it to fix his teddy bear and cries realizing that Red cared about him after all. And Red & Yellow tearfully apologize to each other for their quarrel as they bawl their eyes out hysterically. The next day, Red and Yellow are playing with the robot arms together, until Red sees the drawing of Yellow's teddy bear, making him realize Yellow sacrificed the teddy bear to save him. So he has an idea. Later, he surprises Yellow by showing him he, albeit hastily, sewed his teddy bear back together. And Yellow feels happy to have Red as his best friend again.
