Once Upon a Time is the 37th episode of season 2. However, this episode was the beginning of Yellow and Red's Story.
Plot[]
On the beginning, it's the beginning of Yellow and Red's story, located on a leaf valley with two eggs for the larvae, where Red just hatched from his egg. but suddenly, something fell on him, turns out it was Yellow's egg. as the two are now crying on the ground, They stopped crying and looked at each other. Then, Yellow got hungry and started eating dirt but spits it out, then ate a rock and almost got choked by it, until Red slapped his back.
Red found a leaf and took a bite, before Yellow came and ate it all, then burped at his face. He then farted, then caused the baby larvae to bawl again before back to sleep. At the cold night, Yellow wake up and grabbed a leaf as his blanket, before sharing it with Red, he then eats it shortly after. Morning came, and Red was disgusted by how he's asleep in Yellow's pool of drool as he slipped and cried away.
Yellow then cried because he was left alone, until got distracted by a tiny butterfly as he chase it. Red returns, and laugh knowing that Yellow was gone. While chasing the butterfly, Yellow stumbles across a Praying Mantis that attacked him. As he cried, Red, hears this, runs towards it with a stick but slipped on Yellow's tear pool as he butt-kicks the Mantis. Trying his second attempt to kick the Mantis, they slashed him, towards Yellow, causing him to fart massively and blast the mantis away. Since then, the duo always sticks together.
Epilogue[]
In the aftermath, Yellow and Red encounter an egg, as the egg hatched it and released the foul odor causing the two faint so badly, as baby Brown happily came out.

Trivia[]
- The Background will be reused for the Season 3 episode; Larva of the rings.
- It's still not officially confirmed whether Yellow and Red are brothers, but by the same plant their eggs are from, they supposed to be brothers.
- In the epilogue, Brown is supposed to be a larvae first before he metamorphed into a dung beetle, and his egg was supposed to be inside the dung ball and not randomly on the ground, or the very least of his egg is supposed to be underground, since dung beetles sometimes stash the dung balls underground.
- This is the only season 2 episode to feature the animatic on Larva TUBA's YouTube channel.
- This is the only episode not to take place on the apartment.
